Is film actress Rashmika Mandanna getting too much coverage on my Facebook pages?
Recently my Facebook friend who is also like me 70 plus years old, noted that I was giving Rashmika too much visibility. I agreed that she had made a valid point.
I pointed out that Rashmika is one of the top pan-India film stars who hails from Kodagu (Coorg).
Rashmika, who has the tag of national crush of India, is a household name across the county following her performance and demonstration of her dancing skills in the Telugu blockbuster ‘Pushpa –The Rise’. She debuted in Hindi through ‘Goodbye’ also starring Amitabh Bachchan.
In recent years, Rashmika has emerged as an unofficial ‘brand ambassador’ for Kodagu. She has thrown the spotlight on the Kodava sari (in picture) which involves tucking the pleats at the back of the waist, instead of the front. She has also popularised Coorg cuisine through her media interactions.
Rashmika was voted ‘Coorg Person of the Year, 2022’. Her tweet thanking the people of Kodagu, and the news portal www.coorgtourisminfo.com for selecting her as Coorg Person of the Year, created a huge social media buzz. Her tweet garnered 389K views, and over 5,600 ‘likes’, something unheard of for a tweet involving Kodagu district in Karnataka.
Being administrator of my Facebook groups and pages, I get insight of my posts which shows she draws more eyeballs, than my other posts.
Moreover, I feel Rashmika radiates a lot of positive energy and has been popularly called ‘expressions queen’. The girl from Virajpet town in Kodagu comes across as a down-to-earth person who has learnt to manage her success.
National crush Rasmika Mandonna. Her sparkly eyes are a fantastic inspiration for joyful celebrations and the golden glow in her gestures, style never fails to attract our attention ( from Andhrapradesh)
