Writer C.P. Belliappa (in picture) has been associated with my books and website projects from the beginning.
Belliappa has been writing a column for my website www.coorgtourisminfo.com ever since it was launched in 2005.
He was the one who suggested the title ‘Discover Coorg’ for my first book published in 2006. He also wrote the foreword for the book with the headline ‘Coorg for the First Time Visitor’ which was illustrated by cartoonist Nala Ponnappa.
Many of the articles he wrote for his column and published on my website, were later featured in his books.
His books are Tale of a Tiger’s Tail & Other Yarns from Coorg, Nuggets from Coorg History, Victoria Gowramma: The Lost Princess of Coorg, Tongue of the Slip: Looking Back on Life with Humour, and Coorg Stories and Essays.
It is a matter of interest that Belliappa and myself hail from Athur village near Gonikoppal. And the name of his estate is ‘Home Estate’!
