Kodava (Coorg) beauty and south India’s highest paid actress Rashmika Mandanna (in picture wearing traditional Kodava sari) is being shown by Google search as the National Crush of India.
If you search for ‘National Crush of India 2020’, Google will throw up the name of Rashmika. She has already started trending on Twitter #NationalCrushRashmika.
A Twitter user wrote, “She has only lovers not haters. Her expression is killer. She is so cute I love her and my dream to meet her. #NationalCrushRashmika”
Rashmika, who made her acting debut in Kannada 2016 film Kirik Party, was born on 5 April 1996. Daughter of Mundachadira Madan Mandanna and Suman, she is from Virajpet in Kodagu (Coorg) district of Karnataka.
She did her schooling in Coorg Public School (COPS), Kodagu. She later pursued a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Journalism and English Literature from the Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce. Along with her studies, she took up modelling.
In 2017 she starred in two commercially successful films, Anjani Putra and Chamak. Later she made her Telugu debut with romantic drama Chalo in 2018. In the same year, she starred in the film Geetha Govindam, which has become one of the highest profit earners in Telugu cinema, which earned her wide recognition. Her third Telugu venture was the big budget film Devadas. It marked her third consecutive successful film in the same year in Tollywood.
The Mandanna family owns Serenity Hall, a wedding hall at Virajpet.
