Though I started the Coorg recipes website way back in 2006, the site got traction only after Biddanda Shalini Nanda Nagappa (in picture), the Canada-based blogger, well-known for her authentic Coorg food blog, came on board to relaunch my site in 2014.
Coorgrecipes.com got a fresh lease of life after Shalini featured 40 of her recipes on the site.
Before Shalini came on board, I used to feature on the site recipes contributed mostly by Coorg housewives. After Shalini joined, all the recipes sent by the contributors were checked by her for authenticity, thereby setting a benchmark.
Initially when I started the site in 2006, Manavattira Sharada Mandana, contributed recipes to my website. I also included recipes culled from the book ‘Kodava Theeni’ brought out by the Karnataka Kodava Sahithya Academy, translated into English by Boverianda Maya Muddaiya.
Now coorgrecipes.com has been merged into coorgtourisminfo.com. Sharing the link below to the new recipe section. Those who have contributed recipes for my sites in the past can check out their recipes in the new website.
Hi! A great read. Shalini Nanda Nagappa is my classmate while we studied together at the Army Public School Dhaula Kuan New Delhi. Could you please share her contact details with me. Regards Shalini Sethi
